....thanks again...

Wish to add to what 'Mouse' and Troy have stated. Can't get a better introduction to the 1919 than a 'build party' at Brians place. Third time was a charm....lots of guns, lots of people,no one got shot and the BBQ was great...good job by Dianne and the girls. Many thanks go to Brian and Dianne.....

Indeed. Educational, awesome, and fun. Great to have all the tools and experience in one place.

I think everyone should hand Brian a few bucks for food and shop supplies at the next show. It's only fair for all the stuff we used--blasting media, phosphate, wear and tear on bits, etc. Not to mention that great smoked pork.

Hoping we can do it again in the fall.

Thanks everyone

I want to thank everyone that came to the build, except for the small fireball caused by the brake cleaner:eek: everything seemed to run pretty smooth. I have absolutely no idea how many different items were built but everyone seemed to be having a good time gathering in little clusters working together and sharing their knowledge.

I want to be sure to thank HC from KC for all the GREAT ribs he brought as well as drinks. Others brought drinks and doughnuts and they were greatly appreciated. Besides the ribs we went through over 20# of slow smoked pork loin.

We kept the park tank going full blast all day and half of Sunday, about 2 1/2 tanks of propane and close to 30 gallons of water. It seemed like the new compressor I got kept up well with all the blasting and being outside it was alot quiter than in past builds. I think the new lighting helped also as people didin't have the lights cycling on and off in the one area;) .

I want to thank all the people that came to just lend a hand, they had nothing to build for themselves but wanted to help, without them these builds would not be a success.

I think I may have ended up short on a large c-clamp or 2 and a couple very small punches, not bad considering everyone there and all the tools about, in fact there is a plastic toolbox that I believe is from West Virginia still here, identify it and I'll ship it out to you;)

Hosting these build parties is just my small way to help support the board. These make the members of this board different from the others out there as you don't hear about these things going on elsewhere. While some of the topics in the forums get out on the fringe at times in my opinion it still shows what made this country great by allowing people to say what's on their mind and be able get together to build the items that will ensure that future.

Diane and Brian --
(And everyone else who participated and/or came:)

Thanks again for hosting and participating in another great build party. I don't think I've ever before seen so many grown men so amazed and tickled at themselves for accomplishing so many things in producing a project (without taking their pants off) than at this build. Half of them were not even board members -- just "lurkers", and I have to suggest to them... sign onto the board, become members of the fellowship and comment on your experience here on these last two or three days!!!

And to Leggers, our dedicated photographer, we can't wait to see the pictures and videos -- thanks for your service. I don't think there are any pics by anyone of the "little flames", but I hope so. I guess we all learned something?

Brian, I guess you learned something too, despite being the "master machinist" you are -- would you like your honorariam to be a K-Bar to gut the pig, or a large sized "fire-be-gone?" The pork was great, and we all thank you for the lunch -- and the call go the locals to the local LEOs right before lunch so we didn't have THAT repeat from last year -- "No, I can't shoot that, I'm on duty!"

Diane, I enjoyed socializing with you and your friend for a good while, and enjoyed the updates. Thanks for all you added to the weekend with your generous hospitality. Bina wishes she hadn't had so much studying to do and could have been there again too.

There's one other misplaced tool, (mechanical, that is) Bobby's 60 degree countersink -- if anyone finds where it was misplaced please contact him (gunut) to let him know. He may just now be getting home.

One might maybe think a 10 hour drive one-way would be too much for this kind of thing, but if you weren't there you might not know it WAS worth it --IT WAS! Thanks to everyone who came, those who participated, those who helped and supported and those who ****** things up -- you were all part of the party and made it what it was. (A receiver can never be so far gone that it can't be made right!!!) If you didn't finish or you failed to meet up to what you expected, don't worry. Come on back and catch up next time. To all you guys who aren't board members and haven't posted, thanks for showing up. Now sign on and post, and hang around.

Bobby and Kevin, thanks for the ride and companionship on a long ride that might have otherwise been boring.

Carry On!

Mouse hit the Rivet on the head, Brian and family were great hosts, my friend Rich and I both thought that you could not ask for a better environment than Brian provided. Where people could come together, help each other, have a GREAT TIME and learn how to assemble a 1919. I would also like to thank Howard (HC in KC) for all his relentless help and entertainment.

It just keeps getting better...

A lot has been expressed already about this build, thanks again to everyone with all those great personalities. That makes it quite entertaining and never a dull moment.

All of you who were hesitant on coming...give it a try next time (see I am already planting a seed for next year)...if building you'll have plenty of help, or if you come just to visit and watch that's fine too.

Only warning is.... you'll have to put up with "Rory" in either case.

don't flatter yourself. you and your ak people were just in the way of the real gun building :)

actually i would have liked to pay attention a bit to the ak stuff but pork was to be eaten, rivets smashed and brake cleaner to be exploded so maybe next time.
