The big three
I bought a '99 Silverado new, a '89 Ramcharger new, and a '79 F150 new. As you can see they all lasted me 10 years and treated me very well, and I am not easy on work vehicles - they get used and abused quite a lot.
The irony is that even if you start buying used trucks in 5 years, those purchases are going to be the same new trucks that you consider junk right now. Will they get better with age??? The '94 and '95 models will be pretty beat by 2012
