The BUILD is done!(?) Update on post 1

I can't believe I got this thing almost done!! I put the BOX together last night and ground the rivets flush tonight. I did all the work myself and it looks like it will work.
It's an R Guns parts kit and a ORF 80% RSP.

I still have to put a finish on it but I'll fire it first. Everything works fine on the workbench (locks into battery and drops the firing pin on a snap cap).

The overtime at work supports these projects, but it seems like I spend toooooo much time at work!!!

Tomorrow I'll build a TriPod!!

UPDATE -
Went to the Dalzall Rod and Gun Club today.
Sorry but no pictures (you know what it looks like).
Everything worked perfect!!!
To start I put one bullet in the chamber and pulled the trigger - BANG!
Next I put one in the chamber and one under the lid - two trigger pulls two bangs.
After the test firing was done I put the belt in and my buddy helped feed the rest of the 100 round belt.
It was a really nice day here in Illinois (above freezing), but the test was over and I was happy (it's ICEHOUSE time again!)!!!

I hope to get it out this weekend. My buddy belongs to a local private range that is just a couple miles from the house.
Photos? They all look the same but I'll see what I can do.
And as for the TriPod I was going to build - I looked through all my stash of pipe, bar stock, and flat stock and I don't have enough heavy metal to put one together right now.
Building things sure is FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I put the update on post 1, but I have another story to tell.
While we were at the Dalzall Rod and Gun Club shooting range another member drove by (the road to the Clubhouse goes by the range). He called another member who called my friend Jim and asked what we were shooting. He said that he said 'You were feeding it with a belt'.
Even at a place where guns are the norm a 1919a4 will get noticed.
