Has anyone gone to the original Thunder in the Hills Machine Gun Shoot in Peoria, West Virginia. Took place at a quarry getting back filled and hosted by MG enthusiast Frank W. circa 2002 'word of mouth/invite", advertised and promoted Thunder in the Hills 1 Spring 2003, I know there was at least several more shoots after that possibly Fall 2003, possibly Spring 2004 and there is video of a 2005 shoot which I think was the last old one. Then there was one more small shoot somewhere around 2010. I was there Spring 2003 as a fresh newbie and once again at the last one 2010.

I thought I'd dig to see if anyone had any pictures or old video of the shoot before it gets lost to time. Someone put together a neat video on youtube long ago but I'm privately trying to find more.

Surprised anyone knows about that shoot. It was ran by Salerino's. I have no pictures available.... but I will ask around.

Gents.......wasnt there a shoot off Ohio 140 near South Webster in a strip mine that was being reclaimed.? That Thunder in the Hills is really familiar. Donna may remember it.

Rory and I were at South Webster when he had his first Vickers. The Glory years.
