Just wondering if there are any good firearm or military related stores, shops, etc. Ill be there in late June, early July. Anyone on this list live there? Thanks ahead for any input. Frazer

Here is a list of historic locations.
I thought the old Mormon Fort was pretty cool. Here's a couple of shots I took last year.

I hear there is a civil engineering project up the road apiece named after a vacuum cleaner that is pretty neat, if you have time and wheels. Got nothin' to do with guns, but I bet there is a shop along the way you could stop at.

Fun Activities in the City of Lost Wages

My two favorite places: The Coca-Cola store and the M&M store, they are side by side. You can sample Coke flavors from arround the world, did you know in some places it is green? And next door you can get M&M's in any color of the rainbow, from silver to drab green by the pound.
MGM is a fun place to stay and spend time floating on the Lazy River. The Hoover Dam has tours available with transportation, did not notice any firearms dealers on the way out there. You can have lunch on the Dam too.
There is a Harley shop with dining available. If you are patient you can sit thru timeshare promotions and get free tickets to some of the shows. I know there is at least one firearms store that my friends visited, check information to find it and others.

The gaming at a few casinos seemed really tight last weekend, a couple machines paid out a bit but most were cold.

if your going over the hoover dam be prepared for a hour worth of traffic before you even get to the damned thing. the water was really low also, kinda cool to see more of the structure though.

you can see how low the water is, last time i was there about 15 years ago it was almost full.

Vegas

I live three hours away and after a while it gets really boring, the last time I was there for the Roger Waters concert we didn't even drop any money at the casinos, they have all gotten away from coins now, most of the machine will not take coins, I guess they are trying to discourage the casual player, it sure worked on me,I used to keep a pocket full of quarter and would drop a few as we walked through a casino, if I hit I would play them back, but now you can't do that so we quit altogether, we still go to the forum shops at ceasar's and the water show up the strip, there are a lot of neat things to see that don't cost any thing,I've been back here for 15 years now and have never gone to the big water block,I'm sure the censor program won't let me say the other word. There is a gun shop that lets you rent full auto guns, UZI, tommy,H&K, if your going to waste some money thats a better bet then the casinos. There is a huge swap meet that used to be really good,it's getting over run by garbage and the mexican music is a bit much but I have found some great stuff there in the past, maybe a local could let us know if it's worth going to now. I have 4 kids now so Vegas has really lost it's interest for us.

as for the water situation they say that it is way way low and even though this winter was 150% of normal precipitation that the 5 previous years were well below.

you have a huge city in th emiddle of the desert that comsumes an absurd amount of water. at this point far mroe than is being collected.... 2+2 =4

soon to be a desert once again ...

Sounds like Fun

I guess cars and machineguns is the ticket. Ive been to the big crack in the ground, the dam of all dams, the Italian joint behind Barbary Coast, Etc. Thanks to all for the heads-up. BTW, the last time I was in Vegas was to watch my now-wife get married while I was there with my then-wife. Ha, what a life. J
