According to my references it is known as a Bridgeport drum. The manufacturer is United Specialties Co. Chicargo, Illinois. According to the reference the World War II drums were called, Bridgeport, Seymour, Crosby and Fischer. The prewar drums all have New York on them and are known as 1921, 1928 Colt, 1928 Worcester and 1928 Navy. If the price was right I would be interested.

Probably late WW2. Most likely pre 1965. There was also a change after 1978 and again when Kahr Arms bought Thompson out in mid-90's (?).
