So this consists of top and bottom plates, trunnion, sideplates and both pawl brackets? And that's it,right? Or are the cocking bracket and bolt hold open brackets installed and the switch in the l/h side plate? Was the l/h side plate off an M3?
What is engraved on it?
A pic of right side would be nice.
2895 is a lot of clams I have a little more into a complete gun with mounts
and "stuff".
Still I might be interested.

 Huh?? When did you get your gun?? That is an excellent price considering what all those parts cost seperately.

I bought a " select parts set" about eight or nine years ago for $1700 which I thought was too much then.
I bought a TNW almost new from a friend (about 100 rounds down the pipe) that blew up (actually out the rear).
TNW has since fixed the problem with their .50's.
Then I finished my own kit which has served me very well.
I have spent way more on ammo over the last five years than I spent building my Ma Deuce.

If they don't sell to CA, you are welcome to purchase it and I will receive it for you, and subsequently ship it to you. Up to you to find an FFL who will receive it and transfer it to you. No charge on our behalf, you just pay your shipping.

Well, from what I understand, They specifically banned ".50 BMG rifles" and the M2 isn't a rifle. Plus, this can be set up in .50 DTC, so that is why I wanted to know how the receivers were marked....

And thanks Alamo for the offer. If I can scrape enough money together, I may take you up on it. :D

only rifles are outlawed.

Effective January 1, 2005, the .50 Caliber BMG Regulation Act of 2004 regulates the .50 BMG rifles in essentially the same manner as assault weapons. The law generally prohibits the manufacturing, importation, sale and possession of .50 BMG riles. The same basic exceptions that apply to assault weapons will also apply to the new .50 BMG rifle restrictions. For individuals who lawfully possessed .50 BMG rifles prior to January 1, 2005, the new law also provides for the registration and possession of their .50 BMG rifles.

A .50 BMG rifle is defined as a centerfire rifle that can fire a .50 BMG cartridge and is not already an assault weapon pursuant to Penal Code sections 12276, 12276.1, or 12276.5 PC, or a machinegun as defined by Penal Code section 12200. These sections of law may be accessed on this website’s on-line Dangerous Weapons Control Laws.

It doesn't matter how it is marked, even if it said .50 BMG as it is only a receiver. Yes these firearms are not "rifles" and therefore not covered under the CA ban. But they also donot have barrels, so it is a mute point. If you want to slap on a .510 barrel, even with the receiver stamped .50 bmg it is 100% legal even if we are talking about a rifle.

Are you guys rehashing the Ca .50bmg ban again?

This recieiver is perfectly legal and would be considered an OLL.Just have it engraved .50DTC on the side and buy those .50DTC barrels from that one guy over on M2HB.net.Mr Kubota already has linked up .50DTC and says it works fine. So there now you have a reason to buy one of these recievers.
