Took my AA 1919 to the range. The weapon broke in easily and cycles well. I am however, having a problem with the trigger and sear.

The trigger doesn't seem to want to grab the sear each time. On most shots, I have to wiggle the trigger to get it to grab the sear so it can release the firing pin.

I took some photos. The feet of the trigger seem rough. Also, there seems to be a lot of front to back play with the sear. The sear freely moves up and down in the slot though.

Any thoughts?

Took these pics of the trigger and sear. The "feet" on the trigger got my attention as they seem pretty rough.

Thanks in advance.

Just checked. Plenty of room above the trigger in the back plate.

I'm leaning towards rough machining. It just feels real crunchy on the trigger until I can wiggle it to engage the sear and release the firing pin.:confused:

I took a file and stone to the trigger feet and sear to clean things up. Big difference in the trigger.

Traded some emails with James at AA today. James asked me to look at the trigger disconnector and sure enough, it was rough going back and forth.

I took the trigger apart and the poor little spring looked like it a slinky a two year old had tied in knots. James is said he could pop a new one in the mail. I'll swap that out and we should be in business.

Looking forward to another range trip next week. :)
