I never have been a bolt action rifle enthusiast......cant figure where the belt goes in!!!!

Local hwd store gal owner is calling it quits. Her parents opened the store in the early '50's. Some time in there, her father, passed 1984, took a Jap rifle in trade on something as she remembers his tale....... I envisioned one of the normal WW 2 carry homes. Lots of them around. Turned out to be a Murata M-22. Found it listed in the WHBSmith "Book-of-Rifles", 1977 issue & Wikipedia. An 8mm turn of the Century rifle that was phased out about 1905....... It is in an 8mm short cartridge of Japanese origin, has a tubular magazine just below the barrel & a sheetmetal lifter to raise the incoming shell up in front of the bolt. I suspect one loads the fresh shells in through the opening presented by pulling the bolt back, I cant see any other way.

Anyway, something worth having for a change.........
