Well, if you can find them at $145, buy as many as you can. That was a good deal, glockhead! They normally sell for upwards of $200, sometimes as high as $250. But one can get lucky. I found one for $125, just before the vendor at that gunshow was about to double the price based on others he saw while perusing the tables. He said, "get it now before I mark it up, I'm way underpriced". That was three years ago. Even the 30 cal ones often go for $200.

So, depending on condition, you can probably ask somewhere around that $200 mark and have no trouble finding a buyer.

If you can believe it, he works in a maintenance company in the Nat Guard and they had a bunch and were going to pitch them in the trash and he said "hey, I know someone who might want that" and gave it to me. Its hard to tell what all else they throw away that guys like us would love to have and pay good money for.

I have a friend in the Marine Corp. I asked if he could get any 7.62 brass from the ranges.

Since he has friends in high places, one day I meet him at his place. He gives me 16 ammo cans, most full of 7.62 brass and some 5.56 brass from the ranges. Nothing like once fired LC brass to feed my toys.

Your friend needs to be careful as the military resells the range brass, so he is stealing in their eyes. A guy at 29 palms last fall was run up the flag pole for doing exactly what your friend did.
