Searching for the fusee and chain link for a Vickers. Wondering if the Maxim parts would work or are they that different...?
Not familiar enough to determine whether or not the parts are inter-changable.

Len,

The fusee chain on a Maxim and Vickers rotate in opposite directions - that and the chain on a Maxim is fixed to the end of the crank (pinned I believe) and the Vickers is keyed and removable.

Thank you,gentlemen. Now I'm totally confused...LOL. However,not withstanding opposite opinions,I will defer to Mike's opinion because he has fired both type weapons extensively. I'm sure there will be sufficient discussions for each view. Hope Dennis will chime in,as I'm trying to complete tools/parts for both guns. Having parts that will work on both guns is a plus.

I think there is a difference between using the "spring" and interchanging the fusee - two different parts.
