I was talking with some Liberals at a coffee shop on Friday ,they all said they were not going to vote because of Obama.
And they all said that Palin will become the President.

On the Chicago politics discussion , I remember when i read the book put out from the Warren report ,that the politicians in Chicago bragged about getting JFK into the oval office.
They were also investigated in the events of his assassination.
Sarah is very popular ,and in just being herself she is stepping on a lot of toes who will stop at nothing to keep the control they now enjoy.
The story of Joan of Arch comes to mind , not that she is hearing the voices , but her popularity with what some feel like are the unwashed masses.
Sarah is already getting Death threats , more so than usual , and if it came down to her becoming the President , her entire security detail may need to be changed out with some other SS guards.
There is no gray with Palin ,people either love her ,or hate her , and some see her as setting back 30 years of what they feel they have accomplished.
Look how snobbish, and above all of us they act up in Congress. No way are they going to let this woman spoil their plans.

It could be anyone in her close council , The sell out equation will always be present.
Palin could try to erase the work of decades and several administrations.
The Republican Party was becoming just as bad as the Democrats.
All of them were becomeing Elitist , and most of them are lawyers.
If they were not concerned about her , most people who do not agree with her would not be acting like they are ,on both sides of the isle . And it isn't because they do not think she can do the job ,it is because they know she will do the job.
She spoke with General Patreaus when she went to Iraq ,they seemed to hit it off very well.
He is the top commander in our Military right now , and his Troops love him.
If the Troops end up liking Palin then any move against her would be foolish.
This scenario happened once before a little over 2000 years ago , and it brought in the age of the Caesars.
I sure hope we don't do something like that with any leader .

The last time I was excited about a presidential race was 80 and 84 - too young to vote then. My wife, who is sickened by U.S. politics and politicians in general because they sound like the communists she grew up listening to said she is voting for Palin about 10 minutes into the convention speech.

Speaking of cosmoline ,Have any of you ever tried to clean that crap off a Lathe before ? I just bought a Smithy and i don't know if they spray that on, or just dip the machine in a vat !!
The guys at work wanted to steam clean it but i didn't want hot water all inside of it.
I guess you just need a lot of solvent , rags ,patience and clean it like a giant gun.
Oh and when they say heavy , BELIEVE !!!! what they say.

Found it interesting that the MSM propped up Obama for so long now that Palin comes alon they're all over her (of course all they're worried about is how many papers they can sell). Seems the media and politicans have come to the realization that the majority of Americans are still conservative and wasnt a conservative candidate.

Another reason I woul like to see Obama get beat senslessly at the election is because the almighty Oprah so unashamedly endorses him. Love to see her get knocked down a couple pegs. Would be killing two birds with one stone.

On cosmoline, try kerosene or white gas (Coleman fuel) but check to see if it removes paint first. Fun fact, wife found out either Mr. Clean/Windex/Pine-Sol removes light coating of cosmoline, she got it all over her glasses AND cell phone.

Originally the 3 presumed finalists for the Prez nominee were basically one in the same. The election before Palin had boiled down to voting for the lesser of two evils. From what I've seen of her she can more than hold her own and the most positive thing I've seen is she's a Washington outsider. Don't think she'll get run over when the time comes. Her speaking puts Obama to shame. When he's reading from a teleprompter he sounds convincing. Put him in front of a camera and interview him live, literally every other word he says is ummm. Can't wait for the VP nominee debates. She'll eat Biden for lunch.
