I just purchased a MG34 and was wondering what the best 8MM was for It? (and cheap) I heard Turkish is bad for It. I see some Yugo m75 sniper grade pretty cheap but was wondering if that had higher pressures? does anybody know of good cheap ammo? I dont care if Its corrosive.

First off, last I checked, that "sniper" grade yugo was all that is left for surplus 8mm ammo anyways....

And I don't think it would be a problem, not in a 34. Besides, what else would you use.....$1 a round commercial ammo? LOL.....:D:rolleyes::eek:

I assume it's a semi, since you are in Cali. If so I have shot Turk (1938-1943 date) exclusively in my TNW mg34 for the last 5 years with no problems, 1.5-2K rounds ran 100%. Yugo will give you problems because of the hard primers, maybe 1 in 25-30 won't go off. Romanian is the best but unless you stacked it deep in the past you'll pay for it.
Free advice, for what it's worth.

romy is the best for a 34 or 42. Those guns really like the steel cased stuff. Dont know that it would matter so much with a semi though.
