ELYRIA, Ohio (AP) — A judge in Ohio says the state's method of putting prisoners to death is unconstitutional because two of three drugs used in the lethal injection process can cause pain.
Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James Burge said Tuesday the state's lethal injection procedure doesn't provide the quick and painless death required by Ohio law.

Burge said Ohio must stop allowing a combination of drugs and focus instead on a single, anesthetic drug.

The ruling is likely be appealed to the Ohio Supreme Court.

Ohio has executed 26 inmates since it resumed putting prisoners to death in 1999.

OK, lethal injection is painful, waaa waaaa waaaa cry me a river, how much pain did the jackass whos taking the needle cause to other people to get in that position huh?

You dont want pain? FINE go back to the firing squad, but instead use a 50cal or a 20mm aimed center mass - i guarantee the sumbitch wont feel a thing but will be just as dead which should appease both sides of the matter.

Or if you think pain may STILL be possible with that, walk him out in a field and hand him a nice charge of C4, wrap the det cord around his neck a few times and grab an umbrella. And for sex violent offenders teh det cord around the neck can be substituted for a different area of the anatomy, and let the family of the victim push the button on that one (and if they get jumpy and push that one a bit early, its ok i wont tell anyone).

Yep, only in Ohio do we have 4 convictions in the last 2 years for "conspiring to injure or kill US soldiers, terrorist group ties and now we have a Judge that obviously doesn't know his history about what ole Che was really all about.

Consider our state to be a target rich environment!!

I was more struck by the two pictures, on the wall, behind him. This is the second time I have seen obama and che associated with each other.
The first time was during a news report in South Bend, IN. this spring. Some obama supporters were opening up a unoffical champaign office, ahead of the offical one, and the reporterette was interviewing an hispanic women, who seemed to be in charge, and on the wall behind her was obama sign's and pictures, along with a picture of old che.
