Semi Auto Stens is about to get back up and running again, Yooper AL p'd me the other day and told me his helath is slowly returning and he is trying to get back into the swing of things.

do love my stens, and when you get one right, they are a ton of fun.

but sometimes they do take a little "fine tuning". LMAO thats the fun of it.

The fellow at Indianapolis Ordance is Jason.. Real nice parts.. The barrel is a work of art.. I'm building one with his parts kit now..

Tim
Once you're done, please post up how well it works. I've heard of numerous issues with the SAS3 kit, but haven't found anyone with the IO kit.

Thanks

What kit? All I see are receiver blanks for sale???
Hey "C"

He offeres the blank tubes, conversion "Kit"'s, legal barrels, and a block that allows the full auto selector to act as a safety..

The kit has the new bolt, firing pin, springs (3), rivits, hammer and misc parts.. The bolt looks real nice.. Nice custom work..

The new 16" barrel comes with the back barrel bushing, and even is rifled.

Mine is done and ready for welding.. I'm a farm "Stick" welder from way back but a stick welder would blow the metal apart.. I was going to buy a cheap mig fluxcore welder, but the opinion of many board members is that splatter is real bad.. I want to do justice to Jasons work so I'm trying to find a used mig welder with gas.. (75% Argon, 25% CO2)..

Really wanting to get this welded and out for a test, but finding a welder is a problem. I think I can get a new one for about 3 bills, but was trying to keep the cost down..

I'll let you know when I figure something out..

bub,

dont let the welding stop you.... im a puddle jumper at best....

if you got a mig you can do this with no problem.

as to the splatter, if you got a argon set up you wont hardly any splatter at all and that will clean right up.

weld it!! clean it up and if it needs it take your dremel and polish up the welds.

he has a very nic elooking kit and im looking forward to you doing a demo run!! may have to get one of these after hearing your results.

I'll post the board when I find the welder. Now that the holidays are over, I'll start focusing on it a little more. Should have something within the next couple of weeks..
