Does anyone sell buffer disks by themselves. I need to get a set because for me, it would be easier to just purchase some instead of mangeling up my backplate assembly trying to unscrew the back screw.
Thanks in advance for any leads.
Base, I'm real slow to understand sometimes. The buffer disks are inside the buffer tube and you have to remove that huge adjusting screw to replace them anyway so you'll run the risk of mangling it either way. Did you perhaps mean that you wanted to replace the whole backplate instead of wrestling with that adjusting screw?
Dan at Ang Arm http://www.angolaarmory.com/1919a4.html has the whole backplate for $28 minus 25% this month so for $21 you can get the whole thing. There are about 21 disks so if you buy them from Sarco at a buck apiece you've paid for an arsenal refinished backplate from Dan.
You can remove that adjusting screw pretty easily with a cheap impact driver set and you won't mangle it.
