7.62X54R on Stripper Clips?

After reading this thread I figured yeah, I better go grab another couple of K too, before it's too expensive. Wouldn't you know, I stumbled across some Russian 148 Gr Light Ball on stripper clips, in the original spam cans. Not cheap by any means, but I had to get it anyway, just because.

If anyone is interested in some, do a search on GB - it should come up. I think this stuff pretty scarce - not sure how dependable the primers are tho....

I know, I thought I should grab some more before it goes up so I split with my freind 8 440 round tins of Bulgarian light ball 7.62X54R for 15 cents a round, after I ordered about 3300 rounds of heavy ball Bulgarian from AIM for 16 cents each. I shoot it out of my 1919, DP28 and other rifles.

Ah yes, we are a bit of a crazy lot aren't we....I seriously doubt that I will live long enough to shoot all the ammo I have on hand, but at least my kids will not have to worry about having some ammo to shoot. Not for a few years, anyhow

well the only thing that i have that much in is 22lr... 45k now i think but it is humping like bunnies.
7-10k of 8mm and 6k of 54r i think
1.7k 50bmg
3k 9mm
3k 223
then some random stuffs here and there like the 5.7 the 6.5 swiss 30-30 35remington

you know the stuff that i never shoot but want some ammo for in case i want to shoot it.

but really a lot of the people here make me feel very inadequate

I really don't want to say how much 8mm and 7.62X54R(I shoot them out of my 1919 with a crankfire) because the guys in white coats will be coming to take me away. But everything is relative as I see others who post here have more than I do. Like Brassmagnet says our ammo stash will probably outlive us. I actually have a freind that is is as bad as I am so we look at each other and it seems "normal".

i have a few friends that use me as the "measuring stick"

i use many of you.

every time shattered mentions getting pallets of 8mm i am green with envy.
i look at what i have and think that only maybe the 22lr will last a good long while. if i had a decent place to shoot close by i could be rid of everything else with a year or two easily.
