New from TNW Firearms, Inc.
Have you ever wondered what your Browning 1919 Machine-gun would have looked like if it had evolved past the A6 variant?

The skunk works design team of TNW Firearms, Inc. have projected the form and function into a readily adaptable kit that converts any Semi or Full Auto 1919 into a modern mobile squad weapon. The system consists of a lightened .308 barrel with flash hider, innovative front shroud assembly with threaded mounting holes, custom rails, bipod, carry handle, improved front sight, FN style butt stock assembly and FN style pistol grip assembly with safety. The weapon retains the ability to be fired from a tripod or pedestal. The upgrade takes about twenty minutes to install and requires no permanent modifications to your 1919.

Introductory price of $699.00

Personally, I think I'll pass......

You know, if they had just taken the ANM2, built it with the latest steels, taken a clue from the Stinger, developed a quick change barrel system as has been done on Ma Deuce, and maybe add a butt stock option, we might have been spared the whole M60 thing. Not sure if even the 240 would have been necessary.

But then, I am biased towards Brownings... :D

Looks rediculously well balanced!!LOL Lucky I am sure the M60 has earned its place in history and saved many lives and taken quite a few of the enemy. Can you tell I am partial to the pig!!It filled the roll for which it was designed :D

I like the back end, but stock pistol grip Idea. Would be cool with a short barrel on a AA Tripod. The front end has too much stuff on it for my liking.
Almost a Mag-58? Sure would cost less than one. I wonder if they would sell just the back end.

its like in the 60s all over again

they keep screwing around with weight and tailoring things for the latest need. short barrel conversions are silly in most cases like the short barreled M14 is the stupidest. what we are doing is taking a perfectly engineered rifle and making it a sub gun which might work for house searching but is useless elsewhere. house searches aught to be done with a shotgun or ak47 folder. the M14 aught to be used as it was made in a squad automatic role like the BAR was. 2 men in a squad carry the M14. I think lucky is right the browning could be remanufactured today with new metals and a quick change barrel and go right back to work like its big brother the .50 the military has to learn some lessons from history rather than trying all the time to make history. battles take forms in many ways you need to have the weapon that performs well for the situation. today they have many more shotguns then in days past but they still have problems with machine guns being to complex too bad we didnt adopt the rpd type weapon simple construction reliable and plenty of fire power. tons of money has been spent on the M16 and all its clones and ammunition. look how well the ak 47 has worked in combat yet we still over engineer these guns today. Why? because we can then we hand every accessory known to man on it so that it becomes unweildy and hard to carry. if they like the 5.56 cal;iber they should take a hint from the navy seals and go back to the stoner system.

Im curious how they got the trigger to work. and in ca would would it be an assault rifle? I wouldn't do it either way though. Its different but kind of silly in my book. has anyone on the same note seen the MG42 kit for the ruger 1022?

then you should be sticking up for the mag58/240 cause its 100% B.A.R. inside with the exception of it being upside down and converted to belt feed - thats why it works so good cause it is a JMB design  :D Maybe i misunderstood what you are saying though?

and as far as hacking crap together to make an uber tacticool browning, what about the 1919a4.com members who performed this BUBBA modification back in the day? anyone remember this?

Interesting to see that it is also a TNW gun.
may very well have been TNW who did it? I cant remember, i just remember being repulsed by it and had to save it to the hard drive

these photoshop sketches were part of it too

to each his own, its your gear do with it what you want and all that, but these pics made me cry when they did it - the design is so good its still in combat today in its original GPMG form, the A6 - sometimes you dont need to add plastic tapco t6 stocks to something to make it function well - only my opinions
