You are better Off with the 7mm barrel...their is plenty of ammo and it is cheaper...also 7mm mags will feed 30-06 when you are switching calibers...but 30-06 will not feed 7mm

where is the 7mm ammo? I have a good sum of 8mm and 30-06 but nothing in 7mm.

nor have i seen any advertised.
