Not yet. Looking for the charging handle brackets and spacers, socket/allen drilled head screws for same. Mine is the later model which is not riveted. I have the charging handle, but will take another. I'm also looking for any other M37 parts for my spare parts stock pile.
Thanks
Guy
I have that riveted type charging handle and guide set on gunbroker, but I may also have one of the later types. I have some screws that just need to be drilled for wire, which I can do without too much trouble. Let me dig into my stash and see if I can accommodate you. As for barrels, I assume you specifically want the stellite lined barrel?
Either barrel type, doesn't matter on barrel, 30-06. I have drilled socket head/allen screws but they are not original, from Mcmaster Carr. Let me know what you have. If your screws are closer to originals I can also drill them.
I couldn't tell you what the difference is in the screws at a glance. I remember having a guide bracket set still with safety wire shards in the screws, but I can't vouch that those are original either. Is there a particular distinguishing feature to the mil issue screws? What I have may also be commercially sourced.
In looking at what I have on those cap screws, looks like the mil spec ones are partially threaded, so that they have a smooth shoulder in the guide bracket and spacer. I don't have a complete set of those, just two used ones. The other distinction may be the serrations on the head are longer, with no mfg marking compared to commercial screws. Never thought about it before, but I can see now why finding the exactly correct screw is about impossible. (Edit: the one pair with wire are fully threaded, so may or may not be original issue. )
The last guide bracket set I have here (screw type) is short one spacer, but I was getting some new spacers made. Not sure where that's at currently. They were almost done last I checked, not sure what was left. I do have the handle, but can sell without that if you are interested in these. Pic below.
On the booster, I have to double check that I have one with a personal kit that's not here in the shop. Need a day to confirm that, but I think the one I have here is extra. It's used, but pretty clean on the outside. I sandblasted it outside in prep to parkerize, but need to clean old carbon out of the inside first.
If I have a spare barrel, it will likely be stellite. I know I am out of 30-06 plain barrels at the moment. Not sure how many I have in stellite, some used some new, but generally those are personal, not business inventory. Might make something available once I take a look.
That's correct, Mil Spec are partial threads. I can get the dimensions if necessary. Originals do have the serrations. Originals are .610 in length shoulder and thread to under head.
Let me know when you get the spacer complete, and what you want for the spacers and guides. I have a rear guide, but, will take it if you want to sell as a set.
Will you be parking the booster?
Let me know on the barrels.
Thanks for your help, look forward to hearing from you.

I think the only way to get to the mil spec screws is to make them from existing commercial. There's no place I know of where one can just order short, shouldered ones like that. But longer ones with an existing shoulder can be shortened to spec. Outside the two originals I showed in the pic above, which are the .610" length, I just have fully threaded 5/8 (.625"). Those will work without extending through the RSP, and I checked to make sure. They could be shortened .015", but the extra thread purchase doesn't hurt.
I only have one of the front guides left, part of the set I pictured. I do have a couple extra rear guides, so I will probably make some new front ones to complete the sets at some point. That part is fairly simple, at least. But given that, I want to sell the front with the rear, otherwise it's one more I'd have to make to complete a set. I'm thinking $200 for both guides, two spacers, two original mil spec screws as shown plus I'll include two of the new screws, drilled for the wire. I was asking $300 for that set with the bar on GB, so I figure this is about what a set without the bar is worth.
I will definitely parkerize the booster. I got all the carbon deposits out except for the tapered area, right near the muzzle inside. The scraper tool doesn't get in there, so I am sandblasting that out. It takes a bit of time to blast through what might be decades-old carbon deposits. I picked this one up at Knob Creek I think, some time back. Just need to make 100% sure I have another one in my personal kit, that's all. Pic of the one in question is below. Will include a new lock ring. I would ask $120, all cleaned inside and parkerized, fresh and ready to go.
Guy, we are good to go on the guide bracket set and the booster/bearing with lock ring. On 30-06 barrels, I have only the stellite lined with the chrome bore and front bearing. No more steel barrels left, and I've been trying to find 30-06 barrels recently. No one has them that I can find, except old and/or rusty. I'm going to send you a PM on this so we can discuss it there.
