What I want to know is what's wrong with the metal one? (especially since that's what I got from the Gunbroker auction and was planning on using it on my PPS-43 pistol build)

absolutely nothing wrong with the metal.. as ROcco said.

but the plastic ones are what most of us have wound up with and it is true you dont have to put a finish on them and you can shape it a lot easier.

the Heddon pal ones are NIB.

Rocco i thought it was Greg Clark or Terry that was getting them...

didnt wnat to lie to you bub.....

nothing secret, just not sure.

its either GClark or Tescbo over at weaponsguild.com that was getting them and bought the guy at Heddonpal's stock out.

drop into that thread and ask them. its a daily discussion that ive not been keeping that close to (yeah i already got all of mine, lol)

Nothing wrong with it just alot easyer to cut & shape plastic than metal & the roll pin size that you use to mount it is different. Buttt if ya want to get rid of that metal one I'll take it. :D
Thanks, but I reckon I better hang onto it. I still gotta get my trunnion and my bolt done, and the kit home so I can get this thing built. But I don't want to get rid of the FCG unless I bail on the build.
