Longshot but maybe someone has a couple FAL Socom flash hiders stashed away they don't need or knows of a source. I haven't been on the FAL site in years but anyone know why they were discontinued - problems, lack of demand?

Just lack of demand. A while back I spoke with Surefire about their adapters in less commonly found thread pitches, and from what I gathered is that they only do them in batches after a buyer satisfies the required minimum purchase quantity (let's say ~50 or so units) then they are added to the queue, retool machines, and do a run.

Definitely give them a call and ask if they have one, if not they will let you know if they are planning another run and will give an estimated lead time. When I called them (well over a year ago) I inquired about an AUG adapter and they said it was in the works and put me on a waitlist (in my case they never got back to me) but I did find one 4 mo's later. However, to my surprise, they also mentioned that they had just finished a run on the FAL adapter and had them in stock. I happily snagged one up and it is now at home on my FS2000, sorry!

Get on any notify lists that you can from vendor websites, too. Opticsplanet will let you add it to cart, but it says its a 1-4 mo. wait.

Also, you could try setting up a Google Alerts for "SF3P" occasionally you will get a hit, usually they are forum wts ads. That is how I came across your want ad. I'm fishing for more AK adapters... Sorry there was no Fish On inside this reply, Good luck!

Dredging up an old post, but Surefire adapters can be elusive and take a lot of patience!

I found one in the wild, if your still looking. It's available now, but it is a seller's market and commands a higher price. Here you go: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Surefire-Muzzle-Brake-7-62MM-SF3P-762-FAL-/331904519162

Also, this website claims availability. But I would definitely contact them to confirm stock prior to placing any order: http://store.armyproperty.com/products/surefire-flash-hiders-socom-series-sf3p-762-fal.html

Another site that says they a few thread patterns in stock and appears to show some actual quantities, however there are a couple of flash hiders listed w/o a description. Maybe worth contacting them to find out which models they are: https://www.evergladesoutdoor.com/collections/vendors?q=Surefire

Good luck
