WTK 1919 link issue

I have a 1919a4 semi,762x51, The links i have i believe are for the 30/06 ,,Will these links work with the 308rd?? The issue im having is it will strip the round and only cycle half way. Also is there any way to tell the difference in the to links, 308 and 30/06?? Thanks

I'm certainly no expert, but the fact that the 7.62mm round is "fatter" than the .30 M1 round has been covered before. The links are distinguishable from the profile of the "shoulders" of the center where it narrows down. The IS links are different from the US links. Try a search and pictures are available. Hope this helps--at least until someone really knowledgeable replies!

We have posted several versions of the link difference photos over the years, just do a girgle search for 7.62 link photos or search this site. If you can't find them PM me and I will dig up a photo.....
