Anyone know what a deactivated MP44 is worth and what are my chances of finding a barrel so I can build a semiautomatic from this?

A decent parts kit will cost more than the $4000 semi inter ordnance is supposedly importing. I have no idea where you could find a barrel without buying a parts kit. I am also not aware of an approved design to convert these, but I am sure they are out there. If it is a registered dewatt it is worth about 15000 dollars.

Thanks jmann, I suppose his asking price of $2000 is fair then with a unusable barrel? Also, Marstar out of Canada offers a semi MP44 for $3000.

It is fair, but good luck finding the barrel, and the mp44's marstar has cannot be imported into the country. IOC is working with the company that makes the guns marstar is selling. They are having to produce some parts in the usa to make them import compliant. Much like the fals ect... Also Like I said, unless you have a registered mp44, you might want to see what the deal is with making a semi from mp44 parts kit. Im sure someone has done it, but I would be sure of the legalities first. You will probably have close to the cost of a new, legal, nonrewelded semi auto in this gun once you get through with it and I can only imagine it would be harder to resell a home made semi than a factory made one for the same money. That is just my opinion and personally I cant imagine having over 4000 bucks in anything that wasnt nfa or shot less than 1 moa, but again, thats just me.
