Is it possible to shoot this blue plastic projectile ammo after swapping out some parts and what changes would need to be made...lightening the bolt, softer spring, etc...?

Just trying to maximize the ability to shoot the 1919 with various ammo I have. TIA

You can shoot them one at a time with no problems. You just have to hand cycle. As far as getting the gun to run on its own you'd have to remove a few pounds from the bolt and maybe choke the booster down with a lightweight barrel installed. There is very little energy in the ammo. The MG3 and G3 both use a dedicated bolt that weighs a lot less than the standard bolt and there are no locking lugs to unlock. It is straight blowback. With the 1919 you'd have to figure out a way to go straight blowback and still operate the belt feed. There is a lot of energy needed to do that. I'm not saying it isn't possible but its not reasonably possible in my opinion. Prove me wrong and get it done..>.
