Has anyone purchased any of the Taiwan .30-06 Ball (151 GR.) from Century? Thinking about buying some. Is this stuff any good? I know it's corrosive, and the ad says "Clips will be rusty and ammo may show oxidation and be tarnished & rusty".
Just wondering if this is worth buying, or just spend a little extra and get some Greek. Thanks!!

When it first came out I purchase about 4200 rnds (give a take a few) and CAI shipped it right away. When it arrived I inspected the rounds and I was really shocked at the condition.

After handsorting all 4200 rnds I found 740+ rounds had actually been inserted into a Garand at somepoint is its life and attempted to be fired as all of them had primer strikes, and brass scrapes/dings that was indicative of being in a Garand action. All was dark tarnished as well...can we say range pickup???

I found 310+pcs that had sever corrosion (blue/green/white powder). And last but not least, 420 pcs that were damaged/dented (ie mostly shoulders pushed in) and some with very loose bullets to the point that a few fell out during shipment to me.

So in the end I shipped back almost 1500 pcs of the 4200 pc order. To Century's credit they didn't give me any hassles and they refunded my money within the subsequent month and even covered my return shipping bill of almost $80.

The remaining ammo that I kept was sorted as 2300+ pcs of bright and shiny and the balance being tarnished but no dents, damage, corrosion, spent primer, loose bullets...ect.

I never ordered anymore of this stuff as the hassels in sorting was not worth it. If I had not sorted it, I would have lost/tossed 35% of the ammo.

On a side note, I also found 70 or so pcs of original USGI WWII ammo, all AP rounds, but all tarnished as well.
