I can personally vouch for the quality of Joe's barrels, I got a BA & an S.G. from him not long ago. They are very nice! :D
By the way Joe, you didn't show up at the show on Sunday so I hope your still saving a wood carry handle or two for me. I'll see you at the next one and get them then if you remember to bring them.

dont buy

I have got two of his barrels wich are suposed to be pit free and rust free wich they are not,the first one had a pitted chamber and light rust in the end of the barrel,so he sent me a new one wich is even worse than the first, and now he wont respond to my emails, sounds like someone should invest in a good bore light before they sell more barrels. The chamber is so pitted i dont now if it will work and the inside of the end of the barrel is brown, the rifling in the middle is good that must be what he means by no rust or pits, not the whole barrel just the middle.

Very strange.......

I've bought five or six times for Joe and have been extremely happy with the parts. Keeping in mine these parts ar over 60s old, all of my purchases have been beyond my expectations.

I would continue to try and contact him, he may be busy as he usually is. I hand picked my barrels and was happy with the selection he gave me to pick from. He is an honorable guy as far as I'm concerned. You may just have had some bad luck as that sometimes happens but I am sure he would make it right when you two do make contact. His prices have always been fair as well. I understand that this is just my opinion but give him a chance and be patient, it will work out.

Im sure he is a good guy I would just like to resolve this, I have already returned one bad barrel and got a second in return, for the added cost in the shipping it is getting crazy, you would think he would have made sure the second was good.

It doesnt sound like you can use that barrel so I'll buy it from you for $25 plus shipping.
