Thanks.
Thanks.
Didn't the akins guy jump ship on this?041x,
Yes, it would still be patented. The patent protection is a totally separate issue from the MG classification of the device.

Yahooooo.....I sorta got me an Akins to tinker with......SPF
Thanks
Something like that, but the patent stays in place I think until it expires right?Didn't the akins guy jump ship on this?
You know, they could salvage some of their losses by selling the Akins they have remaining minus the spring. I'm sure someone would want them. ATF has essentially classified bump firing as a MG....I suppose there is alot of behind the scenes stuff that is not public. It's just that the ruling by ATF makes little sense, you know, approving it first, then denying it later. If at least they had grandfathered those that were sold while the device was approved...but not even that.I guess the cost of hiring a patent attorney and paying for other associated costs is the real kick in the family jewels for Bill Akins. Now, the patent protection is really irrelevent, since they can't sell the product.
Yes, Tom Bowers, who was president and agent for Akins Group LLC, resigned. The corporation still exists. Anyhow, I read the patent and think that it was issued to Bill Akins rather than the Akins Group.Something like that, but the patent stays in place I think until it expires right?
