I have Two complete Back plates from Izzy kits. They are in typical parts kit condition but are a little unusual. The buffer asy is the normal length but the grip is short and doesnt have the cut out for the T&E so there just flat on the bottom. $45.00 each shipped.
thanks

The two piece ones with the black painted aluminum grips are the earliest style of 1919a4 backplates, a re-use of existing 1917a1 frames. Only semi rare as we have quite a few held back.

The REALLY rare ones are what Rollin posted above, with the safety notches. I have only a few in the reference collection, usually with walnut or bakelite grips.

Could be a 1928 Argentine backplate or a domestic semi alteration.

Pics would help.

Is it a sliding block that is screwed to the backplate? That is without a doubt a domestic alteration.
