Sorry to wait till the last minute , but I hurt my foot a couple of weeks ago and I was not sure I would be going to SAR . I am going Saturday , and if there is any serious interest in this I'll haul it up .

I have a 29-inch Spider Firearms Ferret 50 BMG upper with a chrome - moly barrel . I ordered it to see what it would be like to shoot something other than a M2 . Although it did not hurt , I did not really enjoy it . When I sold my M2 , I bought a Barrett semiauto and I love it . I know I'll never shoot the Ferret again , so I want to sell it.

It has had about 50-60 rounds of GI type ammo put through it , so it is as like new as you can get . If you want , we can meet at SAR at my truck and you can look at it ( foot keeps me from taking it in ) . Can't post pics now after the photo bucket deal . Leave a PM with your phone number by O-dark-thirty Saturday and I'll bring it along . If I get no interest , I'll just leave it here .

I'm asking $2,300.00

Again , sorry for the last minute deal.

That's a fine model. I had a complete rifle w/lower from them some years back and it was flawless. Sold it for lack of places to shoot the 50 BMG - regretted it for a year or two, and now have a SHF model. Not as nice as the Ferrets.

Yes , you go on his website and he has lists of the matches won with his gun . I only sighted this half way in , had several people out putting a few rounds each down range . I've never heard of anyone disappointed in his products . But , dang , that Barrett M82A1 is a sure fire joy to shoot . I'm just getting to old to enjoy being pushed around . No more light weight rimmed 9.5s , .458s , or .375H&Hs for me !

 Wimps i aint no younger than you and i still shoot both my Ruger #1 H .458 mag for cutting 1-2' limbs i can`t reach and even 40 years later i am still shooting 50 BMG from a rifle ,it was Never a hobby for me it was my vocation !! Still own my "work" rifle shell holder 1 of 150 contracted .... And as a fun blaster my Ultra Mag 50 , yes Walter made it but the work is better than it is now from SHF .Dave is a friend of mine and he built the finest uppers and rifles ,sadly he has a health issue and owe`s rifles to a number of people and he is trying to make good .....

I have been called recoil insensitive (among other things ) i can not tell you how many time i have been handed a rifle told "It kicks Like a Mule " X`ed it and handed back to the owner with their jaw on the ground :rofl::rofl: and i currently weigh only 150 Lb at 6'1":rofl::rofl:

I still teach the Art of 50 BMG to target shooters and live only 35 miles from a range that will allow 50`s and me alone to shoot at 1750 yards even though i am not a member ,everyone else is limited to 1000 yd. !!

Yeah - but you are one in a million Belt Fed Frog. ;)

I remember some email and forum discussions with you when I worked on my M3HB and also looking at the Ferret 50. You love and dedication to the 50 BMG is world renowned. :D

Seriously........well maybe not WORLD renowned, but pretty well known in the circles.....

Well , I realized that in the morning I'll be pushing it to meet up with my friends at 5:30 , so I won't have time to run around putting the rifle , case , etc. together , so I'm shutting this down .
I'll start a new thread when I have the time to do this right .
Thanks all , Chris
