I recently acquired a G.I. tripod, I don't need two:

Complete...Tripod, T&E and Pintle for 30 cal.

Used once on an outing...much more stable that the G.I. tripods.
TNW sells for $525....I'm asking $400 + ship.

I'm a little confused, if the TNW is more stable why sell and keep the GI.

Ptmetals,
I was afraid someone might comment on that.
The primary reason is that I collect USGI and replace any repop accessories when I come across them.
I bought the TNW M4 a couple years ago to have a tripod to shoot the 30cal.
The TNW is more stable/robust and sits a little higher for a more comfortable shooting position. The feet are larger and have a more agressive bite. I feel the TNW M4 is a better platform for shooting.

I now have a side step mount for the Willys and recently acquired an M2 on a sweet trade. I do not need two tripods.
I will take the hit on the TNW M4 to ever-so-slightly help fund a 1942 Navy 1911A1.

They definitley sit up higher and look cool as hell.
