WTS-TNW M4 complete tripod for 1919

I recently acquired a G.I. tripod, I don't need two:

Complete...Tripod, T&E and Pintle for 30 cal.

Used once on an outing...much more stable that the G.I. tripods.
TNW sells for $525....I'm asking $400 + ship.

I'm a little confused, if the TNW is more stable why sell and keep the GI.:confused:
