Does anybody know roughly what size would fit a slim/athletic guy of about 6'1" and 170lbs?

These are mostly 1r and maybe a couple 2r sizes left.

I couldn't help much more than that- I never got the army sizing.

Sizes

Army leggins are 1-2-3-4, never seen a 5 or 6. Navy and or Marine seem to have wierd sizing to include 5's and 6's. Most wartime army leggins have the double set of hooks and eyes while the others have only seven, I think. I have big calves and a 4 Army fits with spare room. You gotta be pretty slim to work a one or two. JMTC J

3R is your average size, up to ligher hockey player.
2Ris a skinner size and will not fit a hockey player.
4R is HUGE and is usally for dress to fit over tall oversized boots, or on a huge guy.

4s are hard to find.. I have a repro and original set... snaged the repro from ATF and the originals off e-bay.

Basically its the calf diameter that gets you... anything over 17in diameter is not gonna fit any legging unless you add a splice in the back.
