I've never bothered to get a tripod for my 1919'a because I usually have them mounted on my half-track or on a post that I built that accepts a cradle, but I found a good deal on unmarked tripods so I'm going to buy one, they look good and all the other buyers have been happy with them, it looks like they are painted some dark green color, not OD, so I figure I can sand blast it and refinish it without a whole lot of trouble, and since it will be mounted on my half-track I would like to make it look as close to WW2 as possible, I know this has come up here before but I couldn't find that thread, so what kind of finish should it get, parking or paint?

tripods

So now I need to know if the paint was OD gloss, semigloss or flat, I'm thinking most likely it was the same paint used on ammo cans? Thanks.
