XB 48 Bomber

I was watching a program about the B 52 Bomber and they were showing the predecessor Jet Bombers and one they mentioned was the Martin XB 48 Bomber and they said the Armaments were 2 x .50 M7 Machine guns..... does anyone know what these things are as I have yet been able to find them

Those show the Aircraft the the M7 was supposed to go into, but I am looking for info on the M7 itself
