Do any of you guys know if the wood crates that the 1950's Yugo ammo came in can be shipped UPS without packaging the crates in cardboard? I may be looking to sell some of my ammo if it doesn't become a pain in the butt to ship it. Thanks in advance!

I believe that you can ship it in the crates but IIRC UPS charges an additional "wooden crate" charge.
If your going to sell some shoot me an e-mail and "Lets make a deal!"

last time i shipped some romy 8mm in the wood case they charged me extra, was like 8 bucks or something stupid like that - and it said on the bill the charge was because it was not in cardboard. And the same applies to the metal tins inside the case, if not in another box they will nail ya for a fee. hope that helps.

Im in phoenix, AZ and always looking for some yugo 8mm (especially to cover what i just blasted today for Easter :D )

Yeah, I was told the same thing by a UPS regional sales guy who came by our office. Stuff not in a cardboard box isn't put on their conveyor sorting system so it hand carried, slower, more prone to loss, and could be upcharged.
