I am a younger guy and new member to the forum but I have been wanting to get into 50 bmg belt feds for years and now feel I have a chance to finally do it so am hoping you can help me figure this out. I am already pretty invested in the 50 bmg cartridge and already reload it so I don't feel ammo will be an issue. What I am trying to do is wrap my head around the current market offerings and the best way to go about actually getting one put together. I am also very hands-on and wanted to actually do the build myself. I believe I have or can acquire the tooling required to build it out of parts so was primarily after a parts kit. Based on my research it seems that M2HB kits have dried up quite a bit so I am thinking about doing an M3 build currently. Can anyone please advise how to go about it and how to accomplish this build in the most economical way possible (yes, I know it is expensive and I am ready for that, but I want to see what the most affordable options to complete this would be).
If any of you have helpful resources, links to go starter posts, etc. please point me to them as well. I want to learn all I can before taking the plunge.
