New barrels. Production ones will be chromed, this one is not as its just my prototype. Feed mech, well we took our MG42 knowledge and applied it to the 240, they copied the feed mech so. I will be working on the gas system today. I am thinking a booster may be needed to cycle or at least get the cyclic rate up, but IDK yet.

How about the Fightlite...?

Just wondering...as the semi-auto Fightlite has the same type upper as the M249 SAW and uses the same M27 type links, ammo box and 'nut-sack'...will your conversion work on a Shrike/Ares/Fightlite upper...? With the 16" barrel....? That would provide a bit more gas for operation. Would be a valuable addition to shoot the 7.62x39 ammo as well as .223...!! And the MG 34/42 linked belts would have a new bunch of addicts....LOL.

Looks like he has an M240 below which uses M13 links (7.62x51) vs. M249 which uses M27 links...
I do agree that a 7.62x39 conversion for the Fighlite would be pretty awesome

Are you guys working on a 7.62x39 kit for the M60?
I am working on a 762x39 M60, M240, and MG34 kits. Also in the works is a 556 M60 kit.

The 240 kits feed, working on cycling now. The M60 x39 kits feed, working on designing new bolts and extractors. The MG34 x39 kit is still in the drawings phase. The M60 556 kit runs, also working on designs for new bolts and extractors.

Nice work Jared and good choice with the 7.62x39 it is cheap, plentiful and should be around for a long time. Dolf and I did the conversion for the Revelli in that caliber for those reasons.

The kit is a drop in conversion. Swap calibers easy.

Little update. Today I got the 240 kit to cycle, that means we are almost ready to start producing these. Needless to say, I am pretty excited..
