The one from Recon Ordinance sounds like it is a titanium one. It came with my anm2 when I bought it. Its a 3 legged type, rotates 360 Degrees. Here is an old pic of it. View attachment 33457
Sorry to bother you, but I have one of those 360 degree mounts, a little rough and the lever for locking elevation is missing ( I hope McMaster Carr has something or My Brother in law machinist has an answer), I was wondering if you have any drawings on the A4 adapters and the can mount looks nice. Or if you are bored one day can get pics and send them to me......

Thanks Bill

Unfortunately that tripod has been long gone and other than the picture that I showed, there are no other ones and I never made any drawings. The actual mount was for a ANM2 .30cal beltfed not a 1919a4. The mounting points are the same distance, but not in height. The ANM2 has legs on the front, where the 1919 does not. It was a spacer and quite simple to make. All the spacer did was maintain the correct vertical distance. The ammo can mount was also easy. If memory serves me right there was a 3 point mounting stub on the tripod. I slotted the plate you see in the pic to fit the distance of the 3 mounting lugs. The can holder was bolted on and was purchased separately I believe from OOW.

Sorry I can't help you further.

Thanks for the reply, Just hoping you had the dimensions for the adapters. But I will get it figured out.
So Thanks and the Can holder from OOW is a good Idea. I have one on my Vickers mount, but I do not think they produced them in any numbers. Great set up for the A4 wood ammo box... Have a good one, Bill

If your tripod is heavy wall tubing and feather light I'm 90% sure its all aluminum. It might be tough to tell titanium from aluminum in large parts but in smaller equal parts its easier to tell them apart by weight. Titanium is is in between the weight of stainless an aluminum but much closer to stainless. There are different grades of titanium ( alloy compound mix )which have different properties. I believe grade 5 is the strongest compound, other grades like 2 or 4 are softer and used for medical implants having less rejection from the human body. There are two ways you can test to see if it is titanium at least grade 5 and maybe medical grade that I know, both methods by titanium anodizing. One is by torch heat and it will change colors and the other by electrical anodizing. You would have to have bare metal exposed to test it so maybe on the bottom of the feet would be the best place.
