Drawing D7349 is titled "Roll, Spare Parts, M13". Earliest version of this drawing number is June 1, 1934. The contents and which pocket the items are to go on reside on drawing B109261 "List of Contents" with the same June 1, 1934 date. The list of contents also include the M1 small parts envelope, C59696 and what should be in the two M1 envelopes for the whole M13 set. Okay, now on to a little bit of history. kkkriverrats pointed out that he thought that an earlier version (earlier than the 1934 date) could be in the Class and Division drawing series, specifically 20-17-85 through 87. I did a little research and I already had those drawings digitized. 20-17-85 is titled "Tool Roll Mark I, for Browning Machine Gun, Model of 1917, Assembly and Details" and it's original date is Sept. 30, 1918. Now by revision, dated June 1, 1934, a few things have changed. The phrase "for Browning Machine Gun" has been scratched out and the phrase "transferred to D7349" has been added to the body of the drawing. This signals the end of a quadrant drawing (where several components are on one drawing, just in different quadrants) and the beginning of a each portion of an item being given and individual number.
Confused yet? Because it keeps going in the same direction for 20-17-86 and 20-17-87 (more of the Mark I tool roll for the M1917 bmg components).
Moving on to the M12 tool roll, drawing D7389. Revision 12 of this drawing also refers to "from 20-17-85". Nothing new under the sun. The contents for this tool roll can be found on drawing B109250.
Whew! I'm done. Hopefully this was helpful. If this was common knowledge then I apologize for taking up a thread. As always, thanks for kkkriverrats for suggesting where to look. Come to find out I had the early 20-17-85 drawings digitized from early 2006 and already had this information at my fingertips. I just didn't look for the connection until I was prodded in the right direction.

Gatekeeper
