WTS: new-in-wrapper USGI M84 scope for M1D Garand, 03A4, etc. NOT repro! Sold

I took a partial trade on what appears to be a new in the wrapper M84 scope. It is still sealed up in its RIA inspection package and I do not want to open it up just to look at it. After all, how many do you find still sealed up after all these years? The package is dated 1968 and the inspection is dated 1960, so I presume this was inspected at RIA and then sealed, so it should be like new inside. Of course, I have no way of confirming that since it IS still sealed since 1968, so it is sold "as is". I was going to put it on Gunbroker, but I thought I'd list it here first in case someone here needs it for a really clean M1D, 03A4, etc.

Here's a couple of photos of the package. The buyer can open it IF they want to, or they could leave it sealed as an investment, collectible, etc. I do not intend to open it up to look at it, as then it would no longer be "new-in-wrapper". The price I am asking is $1100, which I know IS a premium price, but considering I have seen USGI M84 scopes with a bunch of wear, missing caps, etc. go for $700+, I think it will get that or pretty near to it on Gunbroker. I will consider a partial trade on a Chinese military AK if someone has one, depending on what trade allowance we can work out first. Otherwise, first "I'll take it" posted here gets it. I reserve the right to withdraw and move it if it has not yet sold.

OK, I thought it over overnight and decided that $1,100 IS a lot of money for anyone to "roll the dice" on (myself included). So, I finally decided that for me to sell it as "new", I just had to break the seal on the mummy's tomb, risk the curse, and open it up to see what was REALLY inside...

And what I found was... this:

So now we ALL know what a new-in-the-wrap M84 scope looks like, with packing materials and all. And now I know that the scope IS new and as it should be. So one more time, IF anyone here wants it for $1,100 shipped, I'll put it back here for the rest of today and Saturday before moving it to Gunbroker. Again, to be fair the first "I'll take it" in this thread will get it, if anyone wants it. Thanks.
