There was apparently some confusion that the tripod was included; the GB ad states "Various accessories may be available to the buyer at extra cost including: Browning 1917A1 tripod, correct Model 1928 tripod". I added to the first post to make it clear that the tripod is NOT included for $5500.

Not really. It's a better piece of art than any of the stuff I see at the big box stores, beats another tired Remington horse repop, and it increases in value. You'd never make a mistake putting it on display on a shelf, or better yet a tripod.

Feeding it is the same as all semi-autos; you knock some money off the pile with each pull of the trigger.

 

I had John build one of these for me a long time ago, always worked great!

 

Did John McGuire sell sideplates, or only built guns? I ask because it would be nice to know if it's his build, or his plate possible made at home.

 

Not sure, but I can tell you that I provided a plate for my build.

 

Note that Outdoordave had gun-only for sale two years ago for $6700.

I take it that mean87mustang took the 1917a1 tripod along with the 1928 semiauto. I have been looking for one to setup my 1917a1/28 on for WWII displays.

 

No he wants just the gun. The m35 tripod which is correct for the 1928 I will sell separately. The 1917a1 tripod will be offered with a different gun.
